Opportunities at the Cyber Policy Center
CPC is seeking a part-time programming assistant to help with event management, in particular the management of the CPC’s AV technology, in particular our mobile AV streaming and recording setup. Some AV experience is recommended but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided. The role is ideal for an individual with a positive attitude who is eager to learn and support the center’s events and related activities.
Technology: video switching and production (ATEM, Blackmagic), audio routing and mixing (Motu), cable routing, software show control (QLab), network and control integrations (Bitfocus Companion)

The Cyber Policy Center at the Freeman Spogli Institute (FSI) is Stanford's premier hub for the interdisciplinary study of issues at the nexus of technology, governance, and public policy. The Cyber Policy Center’s research, teaching and policy engagement aims to bring new insights and solutions to national governments, international institutions, and industry.
The Adolescent and Well-Being initiative focuses on identifying and evaluating practical strategies that families can use to ensure adolescents not only stay safe online but also thrive. By bringing together academics, practitioners, and policymakers, the initiative aims to enrich the dialogue on fostering positive online experiences for young people.
Reporting to the Social Media Lab Associate Director, you will lead, support and facilitate research related to children, youth, social media and well-being, and interventions and strategies to support youth and families. You will support large scale evaluation studies on the impact of phone related policies to youth and families.
This recruitment is for a one (1) year fixed-term, 100% FTE benefits-eligible position which begins on the start date and may be renewable in the future based on funding availability.

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and support research adolescents, social media and well-being and related projects.
- Lead and support research manuscripts and reports writing.
- Designing surveys, experiments, and field studies.
- Interpret, synthesize, and analyze data using statistical techniques.
- Supervise staff or students as needed, including oversight and instruction on techniques, as well as consultation on project work.
Required Capabilities:
- PhD in Communication, Psychology or a related field
- Strong writing skills
- Strong data analysis skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
The expected pay range for this position is $93,000 to $114,000 per annum.
