Biography

Samidh Chakrabarti has spent his career applying AI to difficult problems at the intersection of technology and society. He is currently the founder of a stealth mode company focused on making AI more trustworthy. Previously, Samidh was the Chief Product Officer at Groq where he led development of a novel AI computing platform. Prior to that, he spent six years at Facebook where he founded and led the civic product org, which harnessed AI to protect election integrity and address humanitarian crises around the world. He also worked at Google for several years, where amongst other roles, he was PM for Rapid Evaluation at [X] and helped to identify the company’s next AI “moonshot”.

Academically, Samidh is a graduate of the MIT AI Lab where he worked on planetary robotics and predictive network optimization. He went on to Oxford and Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar and completed dissertations in History of Science as well as Technology Policy.

In his spare time, Samidh is a Non-Resident Fellow at Stanford University and is helping get the Program on Governance of Emerging Technology off the ground at the Cyber Policy Center. He also serves on the advisory board of the Integrity Institute and invests in responsibility-oriented startups. 

Samidh is based on the Bay Area and is continuously working to perfect his wild mushroom risotto.
