The Trust and Safety Research Conference
The Stanford Tech Impact and Policy Center will host its fifth annual Trust and Safety Research Conference on October 1-2, 2026 at Stanford University. The conference brings together trust and safety researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, civil society, and government. The conference aims to advance research in trust and safety while fostering the exchange of ideas across various disciplines, including computer science, communication, policy, law, and political science. Registration for the 2026 Trust & Safety Research will open in June.
Dates and Deadlines
- February 2, 2026: Presenter Call for Proposals Open
- April 30, 2026: Journal of Online Trust and Safety deadline for peer-reviewed submissions
- June 1, 2026: Applicants notified if their proposed presentation is accepted
- June 1, 2026: Journal of Online Trust and Safety deadline for commentaries
- June 10, 2026: General registration opens (early bird pricing)
- August 1, 2026: Conference ticket prices increase
- October 1-2, 2026: Trust & Safety Research Conference
THE CONFERENCE
Hosted at Stanford University's Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center, the Trust & Safety Research Conference convenes participants working on trust and safety issues across academia, industry, civil society, and government. The conference features lightning talks, research presentations, including poster sessions, participant-organized panels, workshops, networking and a happy hour.
Your ticket provides access to:
- Two days of talks, panels, workshops and breakouts
- Breakfast and lunch both days of the conference
- Networking opportunities, including a happy hour and poster session
