Ashok Ayyar is external general counsel and strategic advisor for several tech and fintech startups, including a blockchain scaling solution and a decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocol. Ashok was previously lead product counsel for Facebook's digital wallet application, Novi, that was to launch the Libra stablecoin, and assistant general counsel at Uniswap Labs, a pioneering DeFi company. He began his legal career as an associate at two global law firms and also maintains a law practice today, as Of Counsel at Ashbury Legal. 

Ashok is particularly interested in how ethics, law, and policy interact with emerging technologies, and how each shapes the other. Ashok holds a law degree from NYU Law, a master's in public policy from Princeton University, and a bachelor's degree in Mathematical Economics from Rice University.
