Biography
Wanjiku Karanja is a Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) Candidate at Stanford Law School. Her doctoral research focuses on blockchain governance, specifically the legal implications of nodal governance mechanisms utilized in decentralized networks. Wanjiku has previously worked as a technology lawyer in Nairobi, Kenya, on issues such as music copyright and data protection compliance. Her research interests span from Blockchain Governance, AI Ethics and Platform Regulation. She also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Intellectual Property law from the London School of Economics and a Master of the Science of Law (JSM) degree from Stanford Law School.
