Biography

Dr. Karen Nershi received her Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Her dissertation examines cross-national anti-money laundering enforcement using data on cryptocurrency transactions. Her research interests include understanding the impact of new technologies on international relations, politics, and society and using new technology to study traditional questions in political science. At CISAC, Dr. Nershi’s research will focus on the societal impact of recent developments in cryptocurrency.
